Hill Farms Post Card Illustration
Some art I put together for Destination Homes for their new master-planned community called Hill Farms in West Kaysville, UT. It's tricky showing off a new development prior to having homes in the ground for people to actually see and walk through. Floorplans and renderings are ultimately what help buyers determine the house that is right for them, however, there is such great value to fine art that can compliment the everyday and expected blue prints in order to convey the feel of the community design.

April 2013 - Sketches from the Loft
Another General Conference has come and gone. I found myself sitting on the back row of the choir loft this weekend; far from any monitor where I could see the speakers. That presents a different opportunity for me since from a distance you're only able to key in on very distinct features that make up a person's likeness. I was a little disappointed to see after they undimmed the lights that I'd used two different colors of red pencil, but I'm sure the sketches would have turned out the same regardless. It seemed like my strokes flowed a lot better once I got warmed up after 20 minutes or so. In some cases the flow of the sketch deviated from the likeness of the speaker, but I felt like as long as I was getting a unique character with a nice expression it didn't matter so much. The messages where fantastic this weekend. I'm looking forward to re-listening to them all very soon. Enjoy!

MoTab tour 2013
With another tour coming up, there must be a new sticker. This approach is a collector's series highlighting each city where performances will be held. Collect them all to assemble a larger handcart wheel styled sticker!

A Family Valentine
Wanted to do something special with the new camera for Valentine's Day. We had limited time to throw this together (Sunday afternoon while Mom was sleeping). To put it together quickly it took a quick bit of planning, and a good dose of patience. The kids didn't really get why I was having them pose with their arms in funny ways, but it was cool to see them finally get the shape of the heart they created when everything was laid out in this grid.

Family Art Night
Due to the icy weather, art night was cancelled at the kids' school. We decided to make our own art night at home. We had so much fun that our drawing spilled over into our scripture study. It sure kept the kids reverent. Everyone was invited to draw what they were listening about in 3 Nephi 11.

Making my mark
Here is a series of bookmarks I put together for the Tabernacle Choir. Members will get one of these the month they are celebrating their birthday. There are so many members serving in the organization so it is hard to come up with something to give out to everyone without spending a ton of cash. I think this simple reminder should do the job in 2013. This is the first time we've attempted to recognize everyone. I'm sure we'll come up with something new from year to year.
